The Chat Widget is the floating chat button that appears on your public website. Visitors who click it can send their name, phone, and a message, which lands as a new conversation in your Inbox under Communications. The widget is fully styled and worded from this settings page.
Go to Settings > Chat Widget. The page has four sections plus a Save button at the bottom.
Appearance
- Primary Color (color picker): chat button background and bubble accents. Match your brand.
- Widget Position: Bottom Right or Bottom Left of the visitor's browser window.
- Button Icon: chat bubble, message envelope, help question mark, or custom. Selecting custom reveals a Custom Button Image upload (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, SVG) and a Remove image checkbox to roll back.
Content
- Header Text: title shown at the top of the chat panel.
- Name / Phone / Message field labels and placeholders: each of the three visitor-input fields has its visible label and its placeholder customizable independently.
- Send Button Text: what the visitor clicks to send.
- Success Message (textarea): what shows after a successful submission.
- Privacy Policy URL: link to your shop's privacy policy, shown below the form. Important for SMS opt-in compliance; set this so visitors can see your policy before submitting.
Live Preview
An iframe panel below renders the widget with your saved settings. Save the page after a change to see the preview reflect the new look and copy.
Embed Code
The script tag (plus a placeholder div) to paste into your website's HTML just before the closing body tag. Copy from this section and hand it to whoever maintains your site.
Click Save at the bottom to apply changes. The live website widget picks up the new configuration on the next page load.
Note on what is not configurable here: there is no greeting text, no offline message, and no per-staff routing. Visitors always see the form; new chat conversations always land in the shared Inbox.
