Manifold shows NHTSA safety recalls and technical service bulletins (TSBs) for a vehicle, so you can spot a known factory issue or an open recall before the car goes in the bay. It is free for every shop and needs no setup. It appears whenever the vehicle has a year, make and model.
Where to find it
- Vehicle page: the Recalls & TSBs card sits below the vehicle details, with recalls on the left and bulletins on the right.
- Work order: under the VIN in Customer & Vehicle, one line sums it up, for example "6 recalls, 286 TSBs may apply". Click it to open the full card on the vehicle page. The line turns red when a park-it or park-outside recall may apply.
- Mobile Bay app: the same line appears under the vehicle banner. Tap it to open the full list on your phone, and tap again to close it.
Recalls Recalls are listed by year, make and model, not by VIN, so one may not apply to this exact car or may already be fixed. Use "Check this VIN on NHTSA" to confirm. Park it and Park outside recalls (a fire risk) come first, in red. Tap a recall to read the risk and the remedy.
Technical service bulletins Every bulletin NHTSA has for the vehicle is listed, newest first, 10 at a time. Use Show more for the rest, or type in the search box to narrow the list, for example "radio", "remote start" or "rattle". Tap a bulletin to read its summary. The full bulletin, with diagrams and repair steps, is in your service information system.
When the vehicle name is matched loosely Manifold understands common spellings such as Chevy, F150 and CRV. When it has to guess, a note at the top says so, for example "Showing bulletins for SILVERADO 1500" or "Matched as COROLLA". Check that it is the right vehicle. If nothing is found, check the year, make and model spelling on the vehicle.
