Notification Limits show your monthly SMS and email usage against your plan, and let you control what happens when you hit the limit.
Go to Settings > Notifications.
You'll see two usage bars (SMS and Email) with sent count, limit, and percentage. Bars turn amber at warning and red at exceeded.
Overage behavior, pick one of two radio options
- **Pause outbound messages:** outbound SMS and email stop at the limit. New outbound messages are blocked until next billing period or until you upgrade. You still receive inbound messages.
- **Allow overage:** messaging continues past the limit. You will be billed for overage at the per-message rate listed in your plan.
Pick whichever fits how you operate. Pause outbound messages is safer for cost control; Allow overage is safer if missing a customer message would cost you the customer. Click Save Preference to lock in your choice.
Limits reset on the first of each month. Pair this page with Reports > Messaging > Message Volume to forecast where you'll land before the period closes.
