Database backups protect your shop's data. They can be created on demand, scheduled automatically, and stored locally or in the cloud.
Go to Settings > Backups (Database Backups page).
To run a backup now: Click "Create Backup Now". The backup runs in the background and appears at the top of the list when complete.
Cloud destinations: Connect Dropbox or Google Drive so backups copy off-server automatically. Click "Connect Dropbox" or "Connect Google Drive", authorize the account, set the folder path, and save. Click "Disconnect" to unlink.
Backup history table: Each row shows date, type (manual vs scheduled), status, size, and who triggered it. Actions per row:
- Download: pulls a copy locally
- Restore: replaces the live database with this backup (requires confirmation, irreversible)
- Delete: removes the backup file
Restoring from cloud: Click "Load from Dropbox" or "Load from Google Drive" to list backups stored remotely, then click "Restore" on any entry.
Restoring is destructive - all data created since the chosen backup will be lost. Use only when recovering from data loss or testing.
