If your technicians hold MECP (Mobile Electronics Certified Professional) certifications, you can show their certification badges next to their name on invoices and work orders. Each technician's MECP ID is recorded once on their employee record, and the platform looks up their current certifications automatically.
To set it up
- Open the employee's record and edit it.
- Enter the technician's public MECP ID in the MECP ID field.
- Click Verify. The platform checks with MECP and shows the certifications it found, each with its expiration date, so you can confirm you have the right ID, then save.
Where the badges appear
- On the employee's record, under the MECP ID field.
- Next to the technician's name on printed and emailed invoices, and on the invoice page.
- Next to the primary and secondary technician on work orders, on screen and in print.
When a technician holds more than one current certification, all of their certification badges show next to their name, side by side.
A few things to know
- The MECP ID field is optional. Leave it blank for staff who are not certified, and nothing shows for them.
- If Verify says the record is hidden, the technician has turned on "Hide my Record from Search" in their MECP profile. No badge shows until they turn it off.
- If Verify says no active certification was found, double-check the ID.
- Only current certifications show. Expired ones are left off automatically.
- Once an invoice is posted, its badges are locked to what was valid on that date, so a reprint always matches the original.
