Packages (also called bundles or kits) are pre-built combinations of products and labor that you can drop onto an invoice or estimate as a group. Use them for common installs: sub + amp + wiring, remote-start install, anything you sell as a unit.
Go to Inventory > Packages and click + New Package.
Build it
- Fill in Package Name (required) and an optional Description.
- The Items section opens with a Product entry row visible. Type a product name, SKU, or description into the Product field; the typeahead populates as you type, closest match first. The Unit Price autofills from the product's retail price (adjustable). Set Qty, then click Add. The line drops into the items table and your fields reset for the next addition.
- To add labor instead, click the + Labor toggle in the Items section header. A separate row appears with Labor Description, Hours, and Rate. Click Add.
- Each line shows Type / Item / SKU / Qty / Unit Price / Line Total. Edit Qty or Unit Price inline, or click Remove. The Package Total at the bottom right is SUM(quantity x unit_price) across all lines.
- Click Create Package.
There is no separate "package price" field. The package total is always the sum of its lines; bundle discounts are applied later, on the invoice itself (manual line edit or a discount line) if you want a price that differs from the sum.
Use it on an invoice
Click the + Package button in the line-items area (next to the line-item entry row, not inside the product search). A modal opens listing your active packages. Click Add next to the one you want. The package's individual line items drop onto the invoice; from there you can still adjust quantities or remove pieces if a particular customer does not need everything.
Find a package on the list
The Packages list has a search bar at the top. Type part of a package name or description to filter the list, and use the Status dropdown to show All, Active, or Inactive packages. Click Clear to reset the filters.
Bulk activate, deactivate, or delete from the list
If you have permission to manage packages, a checkbox appears on each row of the Packages list. Tick the packages you want, or use the checkbox in the table header to select all of them, and an action bar appears with Activate, Deactivate, and Delete. This is the fast way to retire or re-enable a batch of bundles at once, or clean up a group after an import. Delete asks you to confirm and shows how many packages will be removed. As with a single delete, it removes those packages and the items inside them and cannot be undone, but it never touches invoices that already used them.
Edit or retire
Open the package from the list and click Edit Package. To stop offering it without losing history, untoggle the Active checkbox. Inactive packages stay in your records but no longer appear when you add a package to an invoice.
To delete a package outright, scroll to the Danger Zone at the bottom of either the package's detail page or its edit screen, and click Delete Package. You will be asked to confirm. Deletion removes the package definition permanently and cannot be undone, but it does not affect any invoice that already used the package: those invoices keep their line items exactly as they were. Deleting and bulk-managing packages is controlled by the Delete and bulk-manage packages permission, which owners and store managers have by default. An owner can grant it to any other user under Managers > Permissions. Building and editing packages stays open to any user with point of sale access.
