Reports > Accounting > Sale Performance. It shows what each of your promotions gave away and what it sold over a period. This is the report about sales in the promotion sense; for what each salesperson sold, see the salesperson reports. It needs the financial reporting permission, because it shows cost and margin.

One row per sale

  • Ran, and the percent off.
  • Docs, Lines and Units: how much went out under it.
  • Given Away: the cash that sale took off.
  • Revenue, Cost, Profit and Margin on the lines it touched.

Two things to know before reading the numbers.

Given Away is exact and adds up down the column. Revenue, cost and profit are counted per line, so a product that two sales compounded on appears under both of them, and those columns cannot be added across rows. The total row counts every line once, which is why it can be smaller than the rows above it.

A sale that ran during the period and sold nothing still gets a row, with zeroes in it. That is deliberate: a sale nobody bought from is the one worth seeing.

Rows are dated by the sale date of the document, so a deposit taken in October and posted in November counts as November. The report prints landscape.
