Manifold Pay is integrated card-present processing: a countertop card terminal (Valor VP350 and similar) that Manifold pushes charges to straight from the invoice screen. Your shop runs its own merchant account; Manifold is the software integration.
What you need before connecting
- The APP ID and APP Key from the Valor portal (Settings > API Keys).
- The terminal's EPI, shown on the terminal's idle screen and in the Valor portal device list.
- The Valor Connect Channel ID, allocated when your ISO activates Valor Connect for your merchant account.
- The terminal set to Cloud mode (Valor Connect).
Connecting
Open Settings > Payments and find "Manifold Pay connection" at the bottom of the page (the Connect Manifold Pay button at the top jumps there). Enter the APP ID, APP Key, EPI, and Channel ID, then click Validate & Connect. Credentials are stored encrypted. Click "Test terminal" to send a status query to the device; no card prompt appears on the terminal, and a success confirms the whole path works.
Once the terminal is connected, the Manifold Pay status at the top of Settings > Payments reads Connected and Manifold Pay appears as a payment method on every invoice with a balance due. There is nothing else to select. If Manifold Pay is your only card processor, answer No to "Do you run cards on any processor other than Manifold Pay?" on the same page, so that External Card is not offered on invoices.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect to delete the stored API credentials. The terminal itself is not affected. Only owners and store managers can connect, test, or disconnect.
What Manifold stores: card data never crosses Manifold. A charge is pushed to the terminal as an instruction, the customer taps or inserts on the device, the terminal talks to the processor, and Manifold records only the masked card number, brand, authorization code, and, if the customer signs on the terminal, a picture of that signature.
