This article explains how Manifold Pay card sales are paid into your bank account. Your payment processor handles funding, not 1sixty8 Manifold, and the details for your merchant account may differ or change. It is provided as a guide only. Please check with your processor to confirm anything here.
When the money arrives
- Batch your terminal before 8pm and the batch is funded the next day.
- Late settlement lets you batch up to midnight and still be funded the next day. Your processor can add it to your merchant account for a per-batch charge, which they set. Ask them for the price.
- Weekends and bank holidays can delay funding. If the day after you batch is a bank holiday, the money arrives the day after that.
How fees are taken How fees come out depends on how your merchant account is billed. Your processor can tell you which applies to you.
- Monthly billing: each deposit is the full batch total. Fees for the month are deducted on the 10th of the following month.
- Daily billing, available to shops that charge a card surcharge or offer a cash discount: fees are taken out of each batch, so the deposit is the batch total less fees.
Your monthly statement is available online in the first few days of each month.
Surcharges A card surcharge is part of the batch total, so it arrives in the same deposit as the sale it was added to.
One deposit per device Your counter terminal and your Virtual Terminal (used for pay by link and online estimate deposits) batch separately, and each batch is its own deposit. On a day you take both kinds of payment, expect two deposits, not one.
On your bank statement Each deposit shows as "TSYS Settlement", followed by your merchant ID and the amount. To see which device a deposit came from, and which transactions are in it, use your processor's reporting portal. If you have more than one location, a linked login lets you filter that report by store. Your processor can show you how to run and export these reports.
Matching deposits to your sales The Manifold Pay Settlement report shows each counter terminal batch next to the card payments recorded in 1sixty8 Manifold, so you can match a batch to its deposit. Pay by link and estimate deposit payments are not on that report and arrive as their own deposit. See "How to Use the Manifold Pay Settlement Report" and "Setting up pay by link".
