Purchase order and return order forms in 1sixty8 Manifold support barcode scanning so you can build the order by waving a scanner at items on a shelf or in a box, instead of typing or clicking through a product picker.

How it works

  1. Open the PO or Return form (under Inventory in the sidebar).
  2. With your cursor anywhere on the form, scan a product UPC, SKU, or serial number.
  3. The platform looks up what you scanned and one of three things happens:
  • The product is already a line item on this order. Its quantity bumps up by 1.
  • The product is not yet on the order. It is added as a new line item at quantity 1.
  • The scan does not match any product in your catalog. A red toast tells you "not found" with a Search link so you can look the item up manually and add it.

Each scan produces a short on-screen toast at the bottom of the page so you have visual confirmation without staring at the line-item grid.

A few things to know

  • Serial-number scans work the same way as UPC and SKU scans. If you scan a serial that is already sold, reserved, or otherwise unavailable, you get an error toast explaining why.
  • If a product has both a barcode and an SKU set, the platform tries the barcode first, then the SKU. The first match wins.
  • The same scanning behavior works on Return Order forms, which share the same form layout as POs.

When you are receiving stock from a PO that has already been created, scanning still works but in a slightly different way: it bumps received quantity rather than ordered quantity.
