When two salespeople work the same deal, you can credit both on one invoice and set how the commission splits between them.
Setting it up
On the invoice or estimate form, the Salesperson field is the primary seller. Next to it is an optional Second Salesperson picker. Choose the second person and a Primary's Share field appears: enter the primary's percentage, and the second salesperson automatically gets the rest (for example 60 and 40). Leave Second Salesperson set to None for a normal single-salesperson sale. The same person cannot be both.
How the split shows up in reports
Every salesperson report divides that sale's revenue, profit, and product spiffs between the two people by the split you set. A 60/40 invoice puts 60 percent of its dollars on the primary and 40 percent on the second salesperson. Store and company totals stay exact, because the two shares always add back to the whole. The deal still counts as one sale for each person on the leaderboards; only the dollars split. This applies to Sales by Salesperson, Salesperson Rankings, Salesperson Detail, Sales by Category per Salesperson, Detailed Sales by Salesperson, Salesperson Profitability, and the sales pipeline and conversion breakdowns.
What the customer sees
The commission split is internal. The printed and emailed invoice lists the salesperson name (or both names when there are two), but never the percentages.
Both salespeople also see the deal in their own "my sales" views, such as the invoice list filtered to their name and their dashboard pipeline.
