An invoice or estimate can change while you have it open for editing: a salesperson adds an item from Inventory Lookup on their phone, a technician adds a part from the bay, or a coworker saves the same document from another computer. 1sixty8 Manifold keeps both people's work instead of letting the last save quietly erase the other.
**Items added from a phone or the bay are kept**
While you are editing, a yellow note appears at the top of the form within a few seconds when someone adds an item from Inventory Lookup or the bay, for example "Dan added JL Audio JX500/1D from Inventory Lookup at 2:14 PM. It will be included when you save." Keep working. When you save, their item stays on the document next to your changes, at the price it was added at, and a note after saving lists what was kept and the new total, so you do not collect the old amount.
If you want the added item gone, open the document again after saving and remove it like any other line.
**Other changes stop the save and keep your work**
If someone saved the document from another computer, changed its vehicle with VIN Scan, or applied a sale to it while you were editing, clicking Save does not overwrite their change. Instead a box explains who changed it and when, and gives you three choices:
- Keep editing: close the box and carry on; nothing is lost.
- Open the current version: see what they changed in a new tab.
- Save mine anyway: save your version over theirs.
Everything you typed stays on the screen the whole time. The yellow note also warns you ahead of time, as soon as the change happens.
If the document was posted, voided or converted while you were editing, the box says so and it cannot be saved. Your typed changes stay on screen so you can copy anything you need.
