The Bay Schedule is a live, at-a-glance view of every service bay in the shop and what is in it right now. Use it to walk into the shop, look at one screen, and know exactly which bays are open and which are tied up.

Go to Service > Bays.

The page lays out one card per bay, side by side. Each card shows

  • Bay name (for example, Bay 2)
  • Status (Available if empty, or the current work order status: Check-In, In Progress, QC, Closed)
  • The work order number (clickable - jumps to the work order)
  • Customer name
  • Vehicle (year, make, model)
  • Assigned technician

Cards are color-coded by status so you can scan the row quickly

  • Amber = Check-In
  • Blue = In Progress
  • Purple = QC
  • Green = Closed (just finished)
  • Light grey = Available (empty bay)

The page header shows "[N] active bays in use" so you can see capacity utilization at a glance.

To bring a work order into a bay

You do not assign bays from this page. Open the work order (or use the Job Board) and set its bay number there. The Bay Schedule then refreshes to show the assignment.

To change which bays appear here

The Bay Schedule shows your active bays, which you manage under Settings > Scheduling as bay resources. Add, rename, deactivate, or reactivate a bay there and this page updates to match. If you have not set up any bay resources, the page falls back to a simple numbered list based on your location's bay count.

Toolbar at the top right

  • List View: open the full Work Orders list (every WO regardless of bay assignment)
  • Job Board: open the kanban-style Job Board, which is the same data grouped by status instead of by bay

The bays shown here are the same bay resources the Scheduling module uses, set up under Settings > Scheduling, so the Bay Schedule and the Scheduling calendar always show the same set of bays. There you choose which resources are Bays and which are Salespeople.
