Team Hub Chat is a real-time message panel for your staff. Use it to coordinate without leaving the page you are working on; messages stay tied to channels and direct conversations.
Look for the chat bubble in the lower-right corner of any page. A small red number badge appears in the top-right corner of the bubble when you have unread messages. Click the bubble to open the chat panel.
The panel opens to a conversation list with three sections
- Announcements: a read-only channel for important notes from leadership. Owners and store managers can post with the "+ New announcement" button.
- Shop: a single team-wide channel that every active staff member is automatically in. Use it for general coordination.
- Direct Messages: your one-on-one conversations. Each DM you have started shows here. To start a new one, click "+ New direct message" at the bottom of the section and pick a teammate from the staff list. The first message creates the conversation.
Click any conversation to open the thread view. From here you can
- Type into the "Message…" box at the bottom of the panel.
- Press Enter to send; Shift+Enter inserts a newline instead. (Different from task comments, which use Cmd+Enter or Ctrl+Enter to post.)
- Attach a photo or document by clicking the paperclip icon to the left of the send button, then picking a file. The attachment is sent with your message.
- Click the paper plane button to send without using the keyboard.
To go back to the conversation list, click the back arrow ("‹") in the panel header. Click the X in the top-right corner to close the panel. Closing does not affect your conversations or unread count.
