Wholesale Settings is where you configure how past-due finance charges behave on dealer accounts.
Go to Settings > Wholesale.
Past-Due Finance Charges
- Enable or disable past-due finance charges. When enabled, a finance charge invoice is generated on the 1st of each month for every active dealer with a balance past due beyond the grace period.
- First-enabled date: only invoices whose due date falls on or after the moment finance charges were first enabled are eligible. This protects you from retroactively charging dealers for older balances.
- Default Monthly Rate (typical: 1.5%). Each dealer can override this rate on their dealer record, or be exempted entirely.
- Grace Period: days past due before a charge applies. Platform default is 10 days; typical industry practice is 30 days.
- Minimum Charge to Generate: skips dealers whose computed charge would be below this amount.
- Disclosure Text: shown on dealer statements. Required in many states for finance charges to be legally enforceable. Leave blank to auto-generate from the rate and grace period.
- Notify Dealer: email the dealer with their new finance charge invoice.
- Notify Shop Staff: surface the run in the staff bell and banner.
Exempt dealers (set on the dealer record) are always skipped. Finance charges themselves do not accrue additional finance charges, so a balance cannot spiral through compounding.
