When you import a vendor price sheet, the review screen reads each part's description and suggests the tags that fit, so a few thousand parts arrive tagged without anybody typing them. "6.5 inch 2-Way Coaxial Speakers" suggests 6.5" and Coaxial. You decide which suggestions are kept. See Product Tags: Find Products by Size, Channels, Marine and More for what tags are.

What gets suggested Suggestions come from two places, and every tag either one suggests was checked by hand against real price sheets and kept only if it was right at least 98% of the time. Others join as they pass the same check.

  • Built-in rules read each row's wording. They suggest Mono, 2 Channel, 4 Channel, DSP, the sizes 4", 5.25", 6.5", 6x9, 8", 10", 12" and 15", Coaxial, Component, Empty Enclosure, Loaded Enclosure, Powered Enclosure, Marine, Powersports, Motorcycle, Amp Interface, Antenna Adapter, Dash Kit, Harness and T-Harness.
  • AI suggestions fill in where the rules say nothing, such as a tweeter set listed only as "Set 1 in. Tweeters", or a dash kit listed only by the vehicle it fits. The AI can suggest Dash Kit, Double DIN, the sizes 6.5", 8", 10" and 12", Backup, Dash Cam, Radio Interface, Camera Interface, Steering Wheel Interface, Amp Interface, Antenna Adapter, Line Output Converter, DSP, Tweeter, Motorcycle, Powersports, Empty Enclosure and Harness.

AI suggestions arrive a minute or two after you finish Match the Sections; reload the review page to see them. Each row is read once, so the same row always shows the same suggestion. Both kinds look the same on screen and start unticked.

A suggestion comes only from what the row itself says. When a row is unclear, for example it names two sizes, nothing is suggested rather than a guess. Accessories such as grilles, brackets and wiring kits get no size or type. A tag your shop deleted is never suggested.

Ticking tags Suggestions appear under each row's description as dashed outlines, all unticked. Nothing reaches a product unless it is ticked.

  • Click a tag to tick it. It turns solid and is saved straight away.
  • Tick row ticks every suggestion on that row.
  • Tick all suggestions, under Whole sheet in the Tags row of the Bulk edit box, ticks every suggestion on the whole sheet. Untick all clears every tag on the sheet, including ones you added. These two ignore your selection.
  • To tick one tag on the selected rows, pick it from the Suggested group of the tag picker and click Apply. It is ticked only on the selected rows it was suggested for.

When a suggestion is wrong or missing Untick a wrong one. To put a tag on a row that was not suggested, click + Tag on that row and pick any of your tags. To put one tag on many rows, select them, pick the tag from the Any tag group of the tag picker and click Apply. For a tag you do not have yet, click New tag… (it opens Tags in a new tab), add it there, then click Refresh tags. Your edits on the page are kept and the new tag appears in the picker.

Checking the tags on a big sheet The Tags filter beside the other filters shows Suggestions not yet ticked, Tags ticked or added, No tags at all, or just the rows carrying one ticked tag. A handy check after Tick all suggestions is to pick one tag, say Loaded Enclosure, and look down that list.

Products you already have A row that matches a product you already carry is offered only the tags that product does not have yet, and a grey "has:" line shows the tags it already carries. An import never takes a tag off a product.

What the import does Above the Import button, a Tags line says how many tags will be added to how many products, and how many of those are products you already have. It updates as you tick. Only ticked and added tags on selected rows count. The message after importing and the finished sheet's summary say how many tags were added.

What you tick is kept with the sheet: you can leave and come back, or change a pricing rule, and your ticks are still there. They never carry over to another sheet.

Undoing Undo This Import takes off exactly the tags that import added, and products it created go with their tags. Any other tag on a product stays.
