Find a time answers "when can we fit this in?" Give it a job length and it lists the earliest openings, so you don't have to scan the calendar.
Where to find it
- On the Installation Calendar (Scheduling), click Find a time at the top.
- On Book Appointment, click Find a time under the times.
Using it
Pick the Job length (30 minutes to 8 hours), the Starting date, and how far to Look ahead (1 week to 3 weeks). If your company has other stores in 1sixty8 Manifold, a Where menu lets you search This store, one of your other stores, or All stores. Click Find openings.
Openings are grouped by day. Each one shows the time, the bays that are free for the whole job, and, when your shop keeps tech schedules, the techs who are working then and not on another job. You get up to three openings a day, spread through the day, inside your scheduling hours and business days (Settings > Scheduling).
Booking one
Click Book on an opening at your own store. From the calendar, it opens that day with the slot blocked and a card to book a Quick Visit, an Installation or a Consultation there. From Book Appointment, it fills the form. If you were scheduling a job from an invoice or work order, the button reads Schedule here and opens the booking card on that slot.
Another store's openings are read-only: they show that store's phone number to call instead of a Book button.
What counts as free
- A bay is free when nothing is booked in it for the whole job.
- A tech is free when they are scheduled to work the whole job and are not on another job's work order then. Approved time off counts as not working.
- A bay with a Linked Employee is offered only when that tech is free. A bay with no one linked can go with any free tech.
- A job nobody is assigned to yet does not count against any tech, so the opening is marked, for example "1 unassigned job at this time". Allow for it.
If your shop doesn't keep tech schedules, Find a time looks at bays only, and the results say so.
