Owners can download everything their store keeps in 1sixty8 Manifold as one ZIP file, to keep for their records or to take to another system.

Go to Settings > Data Export and click "Export all my data". Only owners see this page.

The export is built in the background and usually takes a few minutes. You can leave the page; you get an email when it is ready. Then come back to Settings > Data Export and click Download. You must be signed in to download it. Each export can be downloaded for 7 days, then it is deleted; you can make a new one at any time. One export runs at a time.

Every owner of the store, and 1sixty8, gets an email whenever an export is started. Exports and downloads also appear in the Security audit log.

What is in the file

  • spreadsheets folder: start here. Ready-to-read files of your main records: customers, vehicles, products with stock levels, invoices and their lines, payments, open balances, gift cards, work orders, appointments, vendors, purchase orders and their lines, dealers, and employees. Dates and times are on your store clock. These open directly in Excel.
  • tables folder: every record in your account, one CSV file per table, with every column. This is the complete copy; nothing is left out except the credentials listed below.
  • files folder: every photo, signature, attachment and document your records point to, with files_index.csv saying which record each belongs to.
  • account folder: your history with us: your store record, subscription billing and payments, support tickets, and a log of every time 1sixty8 staff signed into your account.
  • README.txt explains the format, and MANIFEST.json lists row counts, file checksums, and everything left out and why.

What is left out: passwords, PINs, and the keys and sign-in tokens that connect your integrations (payment processing, QuickBooks, Google, Dropbox and so on). They only work with 1sixty8 Manifold and would be a security risk in a file. The manifest names each one.

A database backup (Settings > Backups) is different: it is for restoring your store inside 1sixty8 Manifold, not for reading or importing elsewhere. Use Data Export when you want your data in a form other software and spreadsheets can open.

If your store is past due (read-only), everyone can still sign in and owners can still use this page. If it is suspended, or for 30 days after it is cancelled, owners can still sign in to this page to download their data. See the article on cancelling your account.
