If the card on file for your 1sixty8 Manifold subscription is declined, here is what happens. Paying at any point stops it.
Day 0. The charge is declined, or there is no card on file. Owners get an email with a link to update the card and pay. Owners also see a banner in the app; the rest of the team does not.
Days 1, 3, 7 and 14. We try the card on file again. Each failed try sends another email with the date of the next one. The day 7 email also gives the date the store becomes read-only.
Day 13. Owners are emailed that the store becomes read-only tomorrow.
Day 14. If the last try fails, every store on the account becomes read-only. Everyone can still sign in and view, search, print and export. What stops: creating or changing anything, sending texts or emails to customers, taking payments (at the counter, on the terminal or by pay link), and scheduled messages such as reminders and review requests. Messages from customers still come in and can be read. Pay links, estimates and review links you already sent tell customers they are not available right now. Everyone sees a banner. Owners also see the amount owed, the date the account closes, and a Pay now button.
30 days later. If the balance is still unpaid, the account closes. Owners are warned the day before. After it closes, owners can sign in for 30 days, only to download their data from Settings > Data Export, and then the data is permanently deleted. To reactivate a closed account, contact us.
Paying. Click Update card and pay, or Pay now, in the banner or in any of the emails. You can try the card on file again or enter a new card, which replaces it for future bills. Paying restores full access right away: anyone already signed in gets it back within a minute, or at once by refreshing. There is no reactivation fee. A store that was read-only is billed as usual for any billing period that started while it was read-only, the morning after it pays.
Cancelling. An owner can still cancel from Settings > Cancel Account while the store is read-only. It takes effect right away, and the unpaid balance is still owed.
