If your company has more than one store on 1sixty8 Manifold, an owner can copy another store's catalog into this one.
Copying
Go to Settings > Copy Catalog, choose the store to copy from, and press Preview the copy. Switch on Bring over min/max stock levels if you want that store's levels; leave it off to start new products at 0.
The preview shows exactly what will be added, updated, and left alone, and nothing changes until you press Copy now.
What comes across
Categories and their margins, vendors (name, phone, terms, freight), active products with prices and spiffs, tags, and packages with their items and prices.
What never comes across
Inactive products, stock, serial numbers, sales history, purchase orders, counts, vendor account numbers and rep contacts, sales and promotions, misc charges and tax.
The copy never deletes anything, and it never overwrites a change your store made itself. After copying, add your own account number to each vendor you buy from; the preview lists them.
Undoing a copy
The page lists every copy made. You can undo the newest one, which keeps anything you have sold, stocked or edited since.
If catalog sync is on (Settings > Multi-Store), your stores already stay in step and the copy is not needed.
